Terms of use
1. Who you are dealing with
Molvi is a speech-practice service delivered through a Telegram bot and Mini App (the “Service”). In these terms “Molvi”, “we” and “us” mean the provider of the Service, and “you” means the person using it.
You can reach a human at hello@molvi.app, or by messaging @molvi_speech_bot in Telegram. We answer support in English and Russian.
2. What the service is
Molvi is a speech-practice application that runs inside Telegram. You record yourself speaking, and Molvi transcribes the recording and returns an automated analysis of it: highlighted moments, a short list of strengths, a short list of things to put differently, and a rewritten version of one sentence. It also keeps your past reports so you can reopen them.
What the service is not
This matters more than the usual boilerplate, so it is near the top rather than buried:
- Molvi is not therapy, not counselling, and not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or assess any condition, and it will not tell you that you have one.
- Molvi is not professional advice: not medical, psychological, legal, financial or career advice. The analysis is a machine's read of a recording of your voice, nothing more.
- If speaking is difficult enough to affect your life, please talk to a qualified professional. Molvi can sit alongside that; it is not a substitute for it.
- Molvi is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line in your country.
3. Who may use Molvi
You must be at least 18 years old to buy a subscription. If you are between 13 and 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may use the free parts of Molvi only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and they must be the one who agrees to these terms.
You also need a Telegram account, which is governed by Telegram's own terms, not ours.
4. Signing in
Telegram is the sign-in. There is no separate Molvi password, which means anyone with access to your Telegram account has access to your Molvi reports. Keeping that account secure is your responsibility.
5. Subscription, free trial and billing
Reading the catalogue of exercises, the day's plan, your profile, and any report you have already earned is free. Starting a new practice run and receiving a new analysis requires the paid plan, Plus. There is one tier; there are no add-ons.
| Card | Processed by | Weekly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| Issued outside Russia | Stripe, in USD | $3.99 | $69.99 |
| Issued in Russia | ЮKassa, in RUB | ₽329 | ₽5 790 |
The free trial
- The trial is 7 days, and it is one per person, ever.
- You attach a payment card when the trial starts. Nothing is charged that day.
- 24 hours before the first charge we send you a reminder in Telegram, stating the date and the amount.
- On day 8 the first charge is taken automatically, unless you cancelled before then.
- Cancelling during the trial means you are never charged. You keep the free days you have left.
Renewal
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, every week on the weekly plan and every year on the yearly one, at the price above, until you cancel it. Where the law requires us to send a renewal notice before a charge, we send one.
Failed payments
If a charge fails, we and the payment provider may retry it a few times over the following days. While a payment is outstanding, practice runs may be locked. Reports you have already earned stay readable regardless.
Price changes
We may change prices. If a change affects a subscription you already hold, we will tell you before it takes effect, in time for you to cancel first, and a change never applies retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
Taxes
Prices are shown inclusive of any tax we are obliged to charge you, where we are obliged to charge it. Your bank may apply its own conversion or foreign-transaction fee, which is between you and your bank.
6. Cancelling, and getting money back
Cancel any time from Profile → Cancel subscription. It takes one tap; there is no retention screen and nobody asks you why. Access continues to the end of the period you paid for, and nothing is charged after that.
Refunds have their own page, and it is short: refunds and cancellation. Nothing in these terms reduces a statutory right you have as a consumer.
7. Your recordings and what we do with them
Your recordings and transcripts stay yours. You give us the limited permission we need to run the service on them: to store them, transcribe them, have them analysed by the AI providers listed on our privacy page, and show the results back to you.
We do not publish your recordings, show them to other users, use them in marketing, or sell them. Where we want to improve the product with real material, we ask first and you can say no.
Please only record yourself. Do not upload a recording of another person without their consent, and do not record anything you are not allowed to record.
8. Fair use
When using Molvi, do not:
- break the law, or record content that is illegal where you are;
- upload someone else's voice or personal information without their permission;
- try to break, overload, scrape or automate the service, or work around the paywall or usage limits;
- resell access, or share one account with a group as a way of avoiding payment;
- use Molvi to harass anyone, or to generate abusive content aimed at a real person.
We may limit or close an account that does these things. Where it is not obviously deliberate we will write to you first.
9. What the analysis can and cannot tell you
The transcription and the analysis are produced by automated systems, including large language models. They get things wrong. A word may be transcribed incorrectly, a highlight may land on the wrong phrase, and a suggestion may simply not fit what you meant. Treat the report as one reader's opinion of one recording, not as a measurement of your ability.
We do not promise any particular result, score, improvement or outcome from using Molvi.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Molvi running but do not promise it will be available without interruption. We may change, add or remove exercises and features. If we remove something you are paying for and do not replace it with something equivalent, you can cancel and ask for the unused part of your period back.
If we shut the service down, we will give you notice, stop charging you, and refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Molvi at any time, and cancel as described above. We may suspend or end your access if you break section 8, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service. Except where you have broken section 8 seriously, we refund the unused part of the period.
12. Liability
Molvi is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data beyond what our backups hold, or for anything that follows from you relying on an automated analysis as if it were professional advice.
Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your non-waivable consumer rights.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which Molvi is established, and disputes go to the competent courts of that jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away your right to bring a claim in the courts of the country you live in, or to rely on the consumer law of that country.
Before going to court, please write to us. Most things are a misunderstanding that one email fixes.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you (anything about price, billing, your content, or your rights) we will tell you in Telegram or by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not agree. The date at the top always shows the current version.
