Frequently asked questions
What is Molvi?
Molvi is an AI-powered communication and improvisation coach. You do short improv exercises out loud, and the AI breaks down your take by six metrics, from coherence to authenticity. Improv is at the core because it trains what real conversations, meetings and interviews ask of you: speaking without a script and thinking on your feet.
How does Molvi work?
You record a short improv exercise, get a detailed AI breakdown with follow-up tasks, and the app builds a daily plan that adapts to your results. It works because improv puts you in the exact moment you want to handle better: not knowing what comes next. Studies of improv training link it to more tolerance of uncertainty and less fear of saying the wrong thing.
Can you really become more articulate?
Yes. Speaking well isn't a personality trait. It's a skill, and skills can be trained. Being articulate means finding the right words under pressure, and that's what improv trains: in research, people found more possible answers after improv training and got stuck less on their first idea. Molvi turns this into a few minutes of practice a day, and the Molvi Index shows the change.
How do I stop going blank when I talk?
Practice speaking without preparation, a little every day. A blank turns into a freeze when not knowing what to say next feels unfamiliar; improv makes that moment familiar. Molvi gives you a prompt, you answer out loud on the spot, and the feedback shows where your thought held and where it slipped.
How do I stop rambling?
Find your point before you start circling it. Molvi's improv exercises give you a short time limit and a clear goal, and every take gets a coherence score that shows where the thread slipped. That's how impromptu speaking turns into one point, a reason, an example, and a clean stop.
Is Molvi for social anxiety?
Molvi is skill practice, not therapy: it doesn't diagnose or treat anything. It's built on improv research that includes studies of social anxiety, where after improv classes speaking in front of others and making a mistake out loud felt less scary. If anxiety gets in the way of daily life, start with a licensed professional.
How is Molvi different from Vocal Image, Wellspoken or Orai?
Molvi is built on improv techniques that train articulation. Vocal Image trains your voice, Orai helps you rehearse presentations, and Wellspoken builds clear speaking through daily practice. Molvi's exercises put you where real conversations, presentations and meetings do: no script, no idea what comes next. That's how you learn to think on your feet and find the words fast.
How much does Molvi cost? Is it free?
Molvi costs $69.99 a year or $3.99 a week; there is no free version. Private speaking coaches in the US charge $100 to $400 an hour, so a year of Molvi costs less than one hour with a coach, and you get improv practice with an AI speaking coach every day. Payment goes through your Apple Account.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Cancel anytime on your iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Molvi. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Apple handles every payment, so refunds go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Details are on our refund page.
Are my recordings private?
Your recordings are transcribed and analysed by named third-party AI providers. No one at Molvi listens to them to run the service, they are never shown to other users or used in marketing, and nothing is sold. Delete your account under Profile → Delete account, and your recordings and reports go with it.
When can I get Molvi?
Molvi is still in development. We're working hard on the App Store launch and expect to be out on iPhone within two months. Join the waitlist and we'll send you the link on launch day.
